Overcoming a Fear of Flying

I read the most interesting article today about one woman’s experience overcoming her intense fear of flying. I’m not the  world’s best flyer and I definitely grip the armrests or his hands during takeoff/landing/turbulence but I would say I love travel far more than I dislike flying, which is pretty much the end of the conversation for me.

But what if you were so scared of flying that you couldn’t imagine physically boarding a plan. What would yo do?

I highly recommend reading Meg Keene’s full account of her own ‘overcoming’ process.

And then, all those miles above the earth, every time we hit turbulence, the flight crew would come on the loudspeaker, tell us what was going on, and then end with, “Meg! We hope you’re having a good flight. Don’t worry, we’ve TOTALLY got this.”
