The Golden Globes were a total bore. Ricky Gervais didn’t say anything remotely offside (other than the Jodi Foster comment, which wasn’t really all that shocking), we didn’t see enough of Brangelina and the fashion was unremarkable.
My favourite look of the night?
Surprisingly, American Idol alumni, Katharine McPhee who stood out in a sea of neutrals on the red carpet that managed to be both boring and over-the-top. McPhee picked the right colour for her skin and kept it youthful with the length.

Golden Globes Worst Dressed!
This dress is magic in that it makes a pretty, young, thin woman look frumpy, old and thick. How is that possible?
Again. Jessica Chastain is rail thin and yet, somehow, this dress makes her look like she has a roll developing around her midsection. Also, the hair is a problem.
I dislike Lea Michele so much that she didn’t really have a fighting chance here.
The award for the most annoying Golden Globes attendee goes to Paula Patton. Did anyone else see her jumping, clapping and high five-ing anyone who looked her way? She had this exact facial expression all night and the lemon dress was reminiscent of prom 2001.
